The WorkPlace is administered by Pacific Gateway Workforce, a City of Long Beach agency dedicated to workforce development. The WorkPlace is your local resource to help you get the best job possible. The center has been carefully designed to meet your employment needs, and is staffed by professionals from both Pacific Gateway and the State’s Employment Development Department (EDD).

Job Search Assistance
Each Center provides office equipment, tips on effective job search assistance, help in uploading resumes and responding to job postings, as well as local labor market information to help identify what areas of the economy are growing.
Training Scholarships
Scholarships to community college, technical schools and programs available to assist job seekers gain a new skill or credential that will lead to a better job, or transition to a new career.
Workshops
Workshops such as Resume Development, Interviewing Skills, Salary Negotiation, Career Choices, Computer Skills and other helpful information.
Job Fairs & Recruitments
Pacific Gateway hosts job fairs large and small across the Long Beach, Signal Hill and the Harbor communities in Los Angeles. Our job fairs include dozens of business owners eager to hire and are held throughout the year.
